Our courses feature an “integrated” programme of clinical ultrasonography. The 1st level course provides an introduction to ultrasound and the “basic” approach to the examination method, as well as some monographic topics (paying particular attention to the clinician’s needs); the 2nd level course deals with the study of all the different “Doppler” examination methods, their applications in nephrology, the presentation of the most advanced technologies and their application potential, together with more complex monographic topics, being however aware that B-mode and the different forms of Doppler diagnostics can’t be completely separated.
The two courses are therefore in many respects complementary, although the approach is graded to respect individual learning times and to allow participants to acquire as good a command of the method as possible.
Lessons are held in Italian, although discussion in English with teachers/tutors is possible during practical training. The lessons have a “theoretical/practical” character, thus “numerus clausus”necessarily applies.
The 1st and 2nd level courses are structured on 5 days (Monday to Friday). The teaching hours are approximately divided as follows: half of them devoted to theory, the other half to practical training, where the attendee performs the examination guided by a teacher/tutor.
For this reason, no more than 12 participants will be accepted for the second level course 2017; they will be divided into 2 groups of 6 per tutor/US machine.
The courses will take place with a minimum of 6 participants and will be confirmed one month before the start date. Ministerial accreditation will be applied for, according to current regulations.
A certficate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course.
The cost of each course - 2018 edition - is € 975 + VAT (22%) to be paid 50% on enrollmant, 50% within one week before the start of the course (if the course is cancelled the fee will be refunded).
